This was a commissioned piece for a birthday present with a very open brief, which is how it ended up with Tina Turner dressed as an ocelot with goose neck barnacles and peonies.

These bug samples were created whilst completing a three month work placement at Hand and Lock in London.

A chef i worked with told me that gooseneck barnacles are called the warriors of the sea, and you can’t say warriors without saying come out to plaaaaay. not in my mind any way.
